5 More Books I Own (But Haven’t Read Yet)

I got a lot of books over the Winter Holidays.  Some were gifts and others were just some I bought myself because…well…BOOKS!  Of course, I already own a lot of books that I haven’t read.  I already posted my first batch of 5 books and here is round 2!

Prince of Shadows | Rachel Caine

It’s a Romeo and Juliet retelling told from Benvolio’s POV.  This has some really good ratings from reviews that I trust but I just haven’t been in the mood to pick this up.

The Name of the Wind | Patrick Rothfuss

I love fantasy novels but it often takes awhile for me to get into it. There’s something about being thrown into a completely unknown universe that scares me when I’m starting a fantasy novel.   I’ve started this book about 5 times and never made it more than a few pages in.  I’ll probably wait until the 3rd book has been released because I do not need another Song of Ice and Fire on my hands.

The Glass Casket | McCormick Templeman

I bought this book months ago and never even opened it.  It’s a Fairy Tale retelling, but I can’t find exactly what fairy tale it is.  Some have said Snow White, some have said Snow White and Rose Red, some Little Red Riding Hood.  If someone has the answer let me know!

Backlash by Sarah Darer Littman

I entered a Goodreads giveaway for this ARC and I actually won! Problem is,  I didn’t really have any interest in reading it in the first place.  Sometimes I just go on sprees on the GR giveaways and Netgalley.  But since it’s an ARC and I can’t sell it, I’ll probably read it eventually.

Vitro | Jessica Khoury

I don’t even remember buying this book. That ever happen to you?

What books do you own but haven’t gotten around to reading?

  1. I’ve only read The Name of the Wind out of this list and I can understand why you’ve picked it up and set it aside so many times. I’m among the few people who didn’t love it…mind you, I read it pre-blogging and I have a feeling if I were to read it now, I’d enjoy it more.

I could make a list of probably 50-100 books I’ve bought/won/been given and haven’t read lol. I’m horrible about acquiring them and then letting them sit on my shelves!
